Our tradition

The Spirit of *Bahja*: Discover Marrakech with Your Heart In Marrakech, the word "*bahja*" (البهجة) means far more than just joy. It is a way of experiencing the city—the hospitality of its people, the genuine smiles, and that special energy felt in every corner of the Red City. That is the true *bahja*: the soul that makes Marrakech an unforgettable place. Experience Marrakech from a Traditional Horse-Drawn Carriage Touring Marrakech in a horse-drawn carriage is one of the most beautiful ways to discover it. No rushing—just moving at the horse's pace and letting the city speak to you in its own unique way. The streets, the sounds, the ramparts... everything feels different when you experience it at a leisurely pace. It’s not just about seeing Marrakech... it’s about truly feeling it. An Intimate and Authentic Experience This isn't just a standard tourist ride. For me, it’s about sharing the city I live in every day with you—in a calm, safe, and heartfelt way. I want you to take away more than just photos; I want you to have an authentic, simple, and beautiful experience. Let yourself be carried away by Marrakech... and you’ll understand why *bahja* isn't something to be explained, but something to be lived.

Experiences

A typical 60-minute horse-drawn carriage ride in Marrakech takes you along the outskirts of the medina, where you can see its ancient red walls and traditional gates. The route also passes through areas like Jemaa el-Fna and the vicinity of the Koutoubia Mosque, allowing you to experience the city's heartbeat. Part of the journey also traverses more modern avenues—such as Gueliz or Hivernage—characterized by palm trees and wide streets. It is a simple, leisurely ride that blends old and new Marrakech, offering an authentic and relaxed way to discover the city.

On a one-hour horse-drawn carriage ride through Marrakech, the main sights are its great landmarks viewed from the outside: The Koutoubia Mosque, with its imposing minaret—the city's most recognizable. The medina walls, featuring monumental gates that encircle the old city. The old city (medina) itself, with its traditional atmosphere and bustling streets visible from the outside. And, along certain stretches, the surroundings of ancient palaces or historic areas near the center. It is a simple yet highly visual tour that captures the essence of historic Marrakech and its most iconic architecture.

Thank you very much for trusting me and joining me on this carriage ride through Marrakech. I hope you enjoy the experience and that your stay is as pleasant as possible. It will be a leisurely and special tour of the city, allowing you to discover its essence in a unique way. I hope this moment remains in your memories as a wonderful experience of Marrakech.
